title: About

Voices of Capricornia is a group of local residents taking the pulse of our
community. We’re asking you to tell us about the issues you really care about
in respectful, small group discussions called Kitchen Table Conversation
(KTCs). KTCs are happening all around Capricornia. They’re run for locals, by
locals.
Voices of Capricornia provides a forum for real voices to be heard, respected
and counted. Your issues and concerns are collected anonymously and will form
the basis of the Capricornia Matters Report.
The Capricornia Matters Report will form the basis for discussion between the
community — the Voices of Capricornia — and our elected representatives and any
potential candidates.
‘Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the
world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.’

-- Margaret Mead, Cultural Anthropologist

We encourage and welcome the participation of all people living in Capricornia,
our beautiful Central Queensland, and respect the diversity of people and
opinions within our community. Our aim is to encourage the highest standard of
community consultation and participation.
Come along and be heard because your voice really does matter.
